Scholarships:
PJCNY does have a limited amount of scholarships available for students. These scholarships are made available due to the generosity of our many large-business affiliates. There are also three scholarships that have been given by our founders. If you would like to apply for one, or more, of these scholarships please submit a 500 word essay stating why you feel you are deserving of the scholarship and how you plan to repay the gift after graduation (i.e. community service, helping others, etc.). You must also attach a cover letter stipulating which scholarship you are applying for. A partial list of available scholarships is shown below:
- The Toyota Environmentally Friendly Scholarship – This scholarship is to be given to an individual entering into an environmentally conscience field.
- The Hewlett-Packard Technical Scholarship- This scholarship is to be given to an individual entering into the field of computer science or engineering.
- Global Foundries Engineering Scholarship- This scholarship is to be given to an individual entering into a field of engineering or design.
- The Nanotechnology Foundation Scholarship- This scholarship is to be given to an individual entering into the field of nanotechnology.
- The American Mathematical Society Scholarship- This scholarship is to be given to an individual entering into field of mathematics education.
- The American Physics Society Scholarship- This scholarship is to be given to an individual entering into the field of Physics research.
- The Society of Information Technology Scholarship- This scholarship is to be given to an individual entering into the field of information technology.
- The Green Scholarship- This scholarship is to be given to an individual who has a proven history of helping to educate their community about natural resource conservation efforts.
- The Progressive Junior College of New York Scholarship-There are three (3) of these scholarships available and they are to be given to individuals entering into a field of applied science.
